Side by side comparison of the Macan and Audi Q5
Found this, rather interesting pic of a side by side comparison with the Q5.
Some other cool pics there too: https://www.facebook.com/PorscheMacan

nice picture and facebook link thanks.
I'd like to see a side by side from multiple angles of both the cayenne and macan for scale and also an egress/ingress picture/video for driver into/out of the macan.

Having just Purchased 2014 Q5 TDI Prestige Trim with the S line package this past weekend for my wife the fit and finish as in all Audis is excellent. Also owning a fully loaded Q7 Sline that has now logged in over 100K miles since we bought it new in late 2006 when most people weren't even aware that Audi made an SUV I can attest to the vast improvements they have made in the last 7 years. It may not be at the Porsche level trims but I would rather own a vehicle that people see as a resemblance to a Porsche than pay $20-$30K for a similarly equipped Cayenne and Macan. Plus the TDI has enormous torque at 428 ft pounds and gets on average over 30 miles a gallon.

The Macan is a big relief here as both S petrol and S diesel models are $3-5k cheaper than the Audi SQ5.
We're shopping right now. I wish the Macan was available for immediate delivery. We have driven the Audi SQ5 and the BMW X3 xdrive35. We're leaning towards the SQ5 at this point. It seems to be very well made and very nice.
The SQ5 is great! I love the exhaust note.

I wouldn't say they are amazing.....iDrive is by far my favorite interface, but I would say that Audi has more functionality than both Porsche and BMW, better nav routing, and more functionality. BMW has more apps though.
I suppose they were amazing to me when I compare them to my 10 year old Cayenne! I mean, I love CDs as much as the next guy, but I'm ready to move on to newer technology. I liked the HUD display, lane change warning system, etc. in the BMW. It had a larger nav screen too, which was nice. It was pretty quick too!
I still prefer the Audi overall though.

For the short period that I have owned my '11 S4, it was trouble free, but the interior is far from desirable compared to my '09 C4S with full leather interior. I have looked at the SQ5 when it was first launched last year at the local dealer. There seems to be a lot of parts sharing between the S4 and SQ5, so it still feels like there is a lot plastic / fake leather in the car.
