Quaife swap worth it?

Does anyone have feedback regarding a quaife differential swap in a SL55? When hammering the throttle in even a mild curve, the handling is rather spooky (of course I do have Renntech stage V mods, so I assume this adds to the handling problem ).

Is handling dramatically improved?

It makes the car much more predictable and helps with traction

We have the LSD's in stock right now and the price was actually just lowered on them. We were selling them for $1795.00 but we are selling them now for $1395.00. If you are thinking about one, now is a great time to get one.

What year is your SL? I had a buddy who got the wrong LSD on his 03, I guess there was a production change mid year.

I think you need the 12 bolt quaife from what my friend has told me. He just got his quaife installed in San Diego on his 03 RENNtech pk5 SL55

Let me know if you would like the details

RPM, what is the general Labor time/cost for a LSD install ? Would the Quaife be the best option for roadcourse track/street usage ( ie limerock, my backyard : )

The Quaife is best suited for the road race course rather than a drag strip. The labor cost on the install is $1134.00. We use all the factory Mercedes Benz fluids and bearings if needed. The labor time is two days.

gotcha, so it is pretty involved then. Is the LS function smooth and in control ? Does it tend to lock up the wheels when cornering ? Just wondering if there is any risks with such a unit. Also, is there a specific Model for the 996tt, slip ratio is 60/40 ?
