Any issues with returning a modified car at lease end?

Has anyone had experience with MB Financial when it comes to returning a modified car at lease end?

The modifications would be mechanical, not cosmetic.

I've never modified a leased car, and wanted to understand if you need to return it to stock or anything when turning it in at the end of the lease.

Thanks for the help...
Shawn

Read the lease contract again. I bet it has something in there. Even if the mechanical mods were an improvement, it would still not be a stock vehicle, which is what the lease describes. Maybe you could get away with classifying the mods as "repairs", but this might be risky. Just read the document to make sure you won't be in breach. Good luck!!!

they wont... and you can always have the ECU flashed back to stock by the dealership even - just ask the service department to do it or have it done by your tuner.
but i wouldnt even bother, they wont know and you give the new owner a little bonus

You're required to return the car stock but something like an ECU they wont know. They might say something about a intake or exhaust though.

Thanks for the input guys... I was looking at assuming a lease for a short term, but the PPI showed that it needed a lot of maintenance items, so I decided to pass.

Thanks again for the iinfo!
