Talk to me about the 2004-06 CLK / C55 AMG
The C55 is a very fun car to drive! (yes i am biased) it does however lack aftermarket support which can be a pain at times but it also means there are alot of opportunities to be a first to be done on a C55. The power it comes with stock is decent and sometimes hard to transfer to the pavement. Interior space is lacking especially if you plan on having backseat passengers. Very reliable as long as they are properly maintained.
thats all i can think of right now. hope it helps!

get used e55 if you want to go faster
personally as my sister owns a c class and i have owned 2 clk's and 1 e...i like the clk with the same power better then the sedan.
if you can afford it...get the one with the hair dryer

I've driven a C280, CLK550, E63 AMG, CLS 500 and the C55 AMG. The only car I really, really enjoyed driving was the C55 AMG. Pleanty of power and it seemed to handle as well as the e46 M3 but the interior was far more luxerious. And the one I am looking at is CPO'd till 7/2011 or 100k miles. That speaks to me in a car like that
cant say i blame you...just got 2k of service warrantied when the rear seal on my clk500 went..
as far as the c55 i can understand that. it looks like fun, i've only driven the c32. having the torque there over the m3 is nice. seems like you know what you want. i bet the gas mileage is a bit better for a daily driver as well
