FS: 3.45 Total Carat Weight Engagement Ring
My wife decided to sell her ring that I got her because she hardly ever wears it. 4 years ago when we got married my wife had a custom band for her engagement ring and wedding band. A few months later she decided that she wanted a more traditional diamond ring. Well she absolutely loved it but she said its too big for her to wear everyday. She's probably only worn it 20 times over the last 3 years and just decided that she wanted to sell it.

Details

Radiant Cut center diamond: 2.14 carat, G-H color, VS-2/SI-1 Clarity

Setting: 18kt. rose and white gold mounting with 1.31 cts. round and baguette diamonds. Color: H, Clarity: VS with pink diamonds surrounding the center diamond.

We had it appraised for insurance purposes when we bought it, appraisal came back at $35,000 retail so we are listing the ring for $15k.

Well we have gotten offers from a few different jewelrs but the typical mark up in jewelry is quite high and they were offering wholesale cost. We are taking offers if you have something in mind but don't have to sell.

Appraisal values are usually highly inflated from the actual value of the ring...once had an appraisal done on a $8K ring and it came back appraised at $17K!!!

WOW!! $6900?? ridiculous price. so a jeweler wouldn't give you atleast $8000 or even $7500 for it? just curious b/c I have been ring shopping also.

Actually we did get $8k from a local dealer who had a client looking for something just like it. They probably sold it for a lot more than that but oh well.
