Virginia Tint Law

With the laws below, why even bother tinting? Does anyone have experiences with Cops over these laws?

I'm want to get my windows tinted to at least 20%, but I'm afraid that I'm going to get ticket every single time I drive out and then have to pay to get them removed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
• Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed along the top of the windshield above the manufacturer's AS-1 line.
• Front Side Windows Must allow more than 50% of light in.
• Back Side Windows Must allow more than 35% of light in.
• Rear Window Must allow more than 35% of light in.
Had 20% on all windows on my CLS55 and had Ohio plates on my car and still got pulled over and got a ticket for tint in VA. I have 20% on the Porsche and nothing yet.
I had 35% on my 997T and got pulled over by State Trooper once over this. He said to get it removed and I told him it's cheaper for him to give me 40 tickets than to get it removed.
Get pulled for no front plate in VA more than for tint. Three times in both cars, even with 5% on Cobra and 20% on P, they never said anything on any occasions. Guess it's just the luck of the draw.
i have 20s all around...ive been pulled over at least 6 times (for speeding) and never have they ever said a word about my tints....and ive only gotten 1 warning for not having a front plate. my co worker is a ffx county officer and he says tints is his number 1 pet peeve, he says its an officer safety issue, so honestly if you get tint ticket, it depends on the cop.
I know alot of people who run darker than legal tint limits and they rarely have issues with it... I think it also depends on the area though.
I heard that if you get a note from your doctor (dermatologist?) that you are allowed to run just about any tint you want. All you have to say is that you get a sun rash or something and you need to be shaded in your car. This won't necessarily keep you from getting pulled over, but it will keep you from getting ticketed for it.
