LEather and ALcantera that is. New dash and instrument pod are going in. But not until I clean and rebuild all the HVAC in my car. The last 24 years haven't been all that nice to it. When all goes together it will be better than new!

 

Doing the upholstery yourself?

 

Nope - I'll tackle anything mechanical but body work and upholstery is too close to art!! I'll post some pics when I get things closer to completion.

 

Upholstery is definitely an art! I'll gladly take the compliment that body work is art as well!

 

Are you going with Classic 9 ??? their work is amazing and also pretty reasonable.

 

Fraggle congrats brother!!! cant wait to see it...where are you getting the work done? THere is a place in MD called Paymer and Phillips (or something like that) who specialize in upholstery and do all the factory Porsche stuff for the dealers on custom work, incoming cars, or the like...their work is said to be amazing...

The top of the dash and pod is alcantera, with leather on the part that faces the driver.

Just looked at the prices on their site, extremely reasonable! Might have to contact them In the future!

 

The quality is fantastic. Pictures don't do it justice.

 

Got my HVAC actuator parts, will be working on it this weekend. Headed back together!

...and I have a spare center console, let's see if I get that done in leather as well. CAn't have a mismatch, really, can I?

 

Do you send the seat to them or do they send the leather seat cover to you?
