Yeah - that Mike K. he is a real poser and a wanna-be when it comes to owning luxury & exotic cars.

He buys one luxury car and has to come out to Katie's in the rain and show it off like he is some kind of big shot. LOL!!

joke = he has had a "couple" of other ones over the years

Yup I remember him. I'm surprised a big guy like that (tall, not fat) even fits in a Gallardo.

Katie's, 03/31/12

Pretty warm for the last day in March - 50F at 6:00AM. Still, the forecast of rain meant some folks arrived late, and others didn't come out at all. A good turnout, anyway. The Ur Quattro showed up again, with new wheels. The Fita club came, with three X 1/9's and a 124.

Darkfiber is infamous around these parts
I'd love to see an original M6 at one of these. I've been thinking about getting an old BMW for a while and am just in love with the 80s M6.

I too love the 80's M6 but I think there are many of them out there, they range from like 8 grand to maybe under 20 for the best examples. They were mass produced there are a lot of them out there... how did you get 1 or 5 in MD...

it is a beautiful car that's for sure, but I don't think they are rare, in the collectability sense

I met two owners last of which who services his at car at my same place benchmark motors and he mentioned that there were only 5 perhaps remaining in MD.

They were mass produced but I believe a US spec version was only produced in 1987 and ended in 1989. I believe the total number produced is below 2,000 cars.

I can tell you that aside from those two I saw, I don't remember the last time I saw an E24 M6 anywhere even at any of these car meets.

Am I wrong? Have you seen them around?

Regards,
Loay
