it is a beautiful car that's for sure, but I don't think they are rare, in the collectability sense
I've seen a lot of the US spec, especially in bad condition.... Most likely used as grocery geters here in the Potomac/Bethesda area unfortunately. I've even seen a few beat up E30 M3's, that really pisses me off. The Euro Version, which I believe you can tell by the bumpers, is a bit rare.

I guess you have to be in the right neighborhood

There were <2k US spec produced from 87-89 but they came earlier in 1984.

I would love to see some in person at a meet !

Any pics from today!

Nice pics! I went for the first time in a while and couldn't believe how crowded the place was. I don't remember it ever being that full last year.

Is that yellow lambo one of forum members? I've seen it very few times on Route 7. Gorgeous car!

Katie's, 04/07/12

My wife & I did a quick stop at Katie's Saturday, on our way to a family get-together. An amazing turnout - the lot picture below was at 7:15AM. The first Saturday in April, and we had overflow to the parking lot next to the bank on Walker road! A couple of notable cars - the Saleen S7 (for sale, less than $400,000) and the Mercedes roadster.

saleen S7 is bang up to date smashing indeed, even for a car designed over 12 years ago it looks amazing and modern. ACR in yellow jury still out...lots of vipers, or should I say daffy ducks out there! As for the Gulf Ford GT, meh not really feelin' it... seems a bit over the top for a street car. Now that AM Rapide cruisin thru, that was something special.

Off topic, but does anyone have the contact information or screenname for Hameed (?) with the matte black C5 Corvette? I need to ask him something but can't get in contact with him. Just PM me if you do, thanks!

Lots of 6 '80s series BMWs but not many M6's. I was looking into them at one point, love them, but I've already got one '80s supercar to feed!
