This thing really is a bad **** in the flesh. I saw it under frou-frou lighting surrounded by mob of people etc. and it was cool but out on the street sitting in raw daylight just screaming "jump in drive me" = wow!!
It is much smaller - in appearance anyway -than 599, much smaller, which I really like. It is one bad a-s little package, "little" = 730hp (more than celebratory end-of-era GTO with this first "base" model), 0-60 basically 3 flat, and 18 mpg!! Everyone says the lines just scream for convertible model, heard from in-know people def. coming. IMO this model is going to carry them a long way.
Hard to believe the oldest car in current production is the California. Seems like that was yesterday. They have moved fast over past few years.

I know I'm probably the minority, and I am also not their target demographic (aka poor) but I think it's hideous. I'll still drool over it because of all the R&D and technology that went into it though. And that color...now that is a thing of beauty.
Don't worry Chris ... Im sure they will have a cheap version out soon that will fit right on a old Fiero chassis at 1/100th the original asking price. Then I might too be able to own one as well.
Hideous haters will have a couple years to warm up to it.... the few dealerships i deal with said they will be allocated 5-6 a yr for first couple yrs. If u went and wrote a check for pmt in full you're 2+ yrs out.
Trust me in person you will love it.... unless u are a big fat mf-er then u really might not fit in to it. It is really small, although they talk about how much interior room there is, but just ride height alone, if you're a big fat a-s you aren't gonna fit. LOL

I'm not a big fan of Ferarri although the 360 has grown on me over the years. Still regardless of how much money I have a Ferarri would not be on my bucket list... For that matter neither would a Lambo... I have my eyes on the R8 Spyder...
Doesn't look as nice as the outgoing 599 gtb fiorano. But it is a technical juggernaut. The rear end looks odd, the entire car looks animated albeit functional. Yet it still looks better than the awkward sibling, the hatchback awd shoe monstrosity. The 458 is my pick of the new litter.
i think this thing looks great. the tech and power it has is pretty ridiculous, too.
and like Sunir said, the "hatchback awd shoe monstrosity" is pretty bad. i saw one that was on display at Petit LeMans and was very disappointed. i'm glad they got this one right.
