Event #4 for this year is one month away - July 12, 2008 Jason's Auto Spa Cruise to Lake Geneva.

It was nice to meet some of you during our May 10, 2008 event in Mundelein at HP performance. I hope that more of you decide to join us for this event as it would be great to have more members involved.

I will be providing updated information as it relates to this cruise and our destination point in Lake Geneva in a subsequent email. I look forward to seeing everyone at this event. It will be held in conjunction with the Lamborghini club of Chicago, so this one you will not want to miss.

Jason Gauer, one of our cruise members and founder of Jason's Auto Spa will be providing the group with information about the art of Detailing for the Enthusiast. Please check out his website to see the awesome work that Jason does. I know that some of you are clients of Jason's, and can attest to the his work first hand.

Hello everyone -
Event #4 for this year is two weeks away - July 12, 2008 Jason's Auto Spa Cruise to Lake Geneva. This year, we will be going to the newly renovated Lodge at Geneva Ridge ( www.genevaridge.com). We will be having dinner at the Lakeview Grille, with dinner service from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM. The dinner will be a prime rib buffet @ $28 plus gratuity and beverages. We will all be parking together in reserved parking in the west lot of the hotel.

A couple of quick items:
- Please send an email to jmg853@gmail.com if you will be attending and how many people will be having dinner (Also include model and year of automobile). I need to get a head count for dinner by July 5, 2008.

- We will be meeting at Steinhafel's Parking Lot at 2:00 PM on July 12, 2008. The address is listed directly below:
Steinhafel's Hwy. 50 & I-94, 7001 120th Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53142. Please mapquest your directions to The Lodge At Geneva Ridge W4240 State Road 50 Lake Geneva, Wisconsin 53147.

The goal is 100 plus cars and we currently are at 50 cars at this time, so a little ways to go in two weeks. I hope that we can get to 100 and that more of you decide to participate.

Hello everyone - We've got about 100 cars!
The weather is going to clear up on Saturday morning and we will be good to go for the July 12, 2008 Jason's Auto Spa Cruise to Lake Geneva. The forecast calls for rain Friday night and early Saturday morning, clearing out by 10:00 AM to be Partly Cloudy the rest of the day and the rest of the weekend.
Please note a few important points as some meeting spots have changed for Saturday, July 12, 2008 - Jason's Auto Spa Cruise To Lake Geneva:

• For individuals coming from IL, there are two groups heading out and caravanning together:
  •  
    • Caravan 1 - Diane/Ed Q Caravan - If you are coming from the WI/IL border, Diane/Ed Q are arranging a ride to get to Steinhafel's together. If you are interested in joining up with Diane/Ed and a number of others, please email Diane at dlquacken@msn.com. Diane will provide you with the details.
    • Caravan 2 - Carla G - If you are coming from IL (Further from the WI/IL border), Carla G and a number of her members will be meeting at Lakeshore Harley-Davidson located at 14000 Rockland Rd., Libertyville, IL 60048 at 1pm SHARP. (847) 662-4500. If you are meeting with Carla, please let her know ASAP by emailing her at carlagio1@comcast.net.
    • For individuals coming from areas around Madison, WI - Jared L is organizing the Caravan and can provide you with the details as well. Please email Jared at jlaughli@gmail.com
• We are meeting at 2:00 PM Steinhafel's Hwy. 50 & I-94, 7001 120th Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53142. The plan is to depart from Steinhafel's at 2:15 PM sharp to get to Lake Geneva. Please mapquest your directions to The Lodge At Geneva Ridge W4240 State Road 50 Lake Geneva, Wisconsin 53147. If you will be late arriving to Steinhafel's, please call me at 262.893.4317. We need to be at The Lodge at Geneva Ridge no later than 3:30 PM.
• We will be lining the cars up at Steinhafel's, with Mike F's Blue / White Stripe Ford GT leading the way and Dave R's Lotus Club Racer as the last car. Dave R is bringing his CB, so no one should get lost. I will point these cars out to everyone at Steinhafel's.
• When we arrive at The Lodge at Geneva Ridge, there will be signs "Jason's Auto Spa Cruise" designated on the west side of the lot for our parking. I have arranged secured parking with two individuals hired by The Lodge and me watching over everyone's cars. We expect to arrive no later than 3:30 PM.
• Dinner - Linda McCormick(lmccormick@genevaridge.com) has tickets made for each of you that will be having dinner. Linda will be standing in the Dining Room Foyer area to hand them out to each person that will be eating. It is important that you take a ticket from Linda to get the dinner buffet deal listed below (The ticket will identify you with the Jason's Auto Spa Cruise).

The weather was great...no rain!

 

The meet and drive were great. I am glad the weather cooperated.

I saw this view point a couple times during the drive. There I was cruising along behind a long line of great cars when I see what looks like the lead car headed in the opposite direction. I thought to myself who would have thought there would be another Ford GT just out on the road like this.
