Anyone recommend a good aggressive Mini-Cooper dealer in the south east that can get a deal done? The one on Tampa acts like they could care less about selling a car, they have no cars and do not seem too up on ordering a car. I have a 2007 BMW X3 I want to trade in.

A little far from you but I had a good experience with $1K off at Braman in Miami... Not sure on the trade in but maybe Carmax if they don't give you what you want..

 

Braman in Miami, South Mini in Miami. not sure if you have tried Mini of Orlando.

 

Try Global BMW Mini in Atlanta, and specifically give Dean Wilson a call.I'm picking up a Mini Cooper S (for my daughter) and a Mini Clubman S (for me & the family) this Saturday. Dean was excellent, and most of my communication was via e-mail and txt msg. Seamless and with confidence.

 

I was just at Global last Friday. I figured a big dealer in Atlanta would be wanting my money. They had no cars in stock for a test ride, do not do test rides anyway, nothing with an automatic, and I was told they sell above or at sticker price minimum. I walked out. I understand there is not a huge discount for Mini's but I hear of at least $500-1000 off sticker.

 

Noted and sorry to hear re your experience at Global.

The Mini's are flying off the shelf. They received a shipment of 50 cars ~ 3 weeks, all pre-ordered of course.

Not sure anyone can expect $500-1000 of sticker in this market. Personally, that's unrealistic. If you went next door to BMW, they would probably oblige that request on any vehicle (except the 1 series, now tauted as a "green car" at 25 mpg).

We are having fun with both Mini's, and get more comments re the Clubman than I did with my Porsches (which are a dime a dozen)

I doubt that last Comment . I have a Porsche cayman and think minis are cool to drive and own but My Porsche Gets More looks .Minis In my town are Dime a dozen ..Everywhere

 

Caymans in my town are dime a dozen... I have never bought a car because of the looks I get in it...

 

Good luck. They don't really deal on the mini's much. Especially with gas prices the way they are. Best I could get a few months back was around $750 off and free floor mats. They are just too popular right now. I called every mini dealer in Florida and Georgia. Most would only sell for MSRP unless it was leftover and it had been sitting on the lot for a while. Your best bet is SE Florida. There are several Mini dealers within close proximity so I found them much more aggressive with their pricing compared to the other dealers (Tampa, Orlando, etc) that own their markets. You will get your best price going down to SE Florida and buying something off the lot. All bets are off if you special order it.

 

Sticker is the best I have found!

 

A lot of people here in ATL like Mini of South Atlanta, I don't have any experience with them but they get good press with the Atl Mini Club.
