I think part of the problem is the hype, and the fan boys.
Same happened with the Z06.
Once everything cools down the truth comes out in unbaised form. Just like the Z06 the GTR is an amazing car, and just like the Z06 it undercuts its competition's price ranges by half. IMO its quite a compliment to Porsche that it remains the benchmark for other companies performance goals. It should also help Porsche to try to stay ahead of the game and CONTINUE raising the bar just like it has for decades.
