GTR and 911 in the Same class--NOT

With the introduction of the GTR many people are comparing the GTR to the Porsche 911TT. How can one put these two cars in the same category? Good grief what are they thinking. Ok, the GTR is fast and maybe faster if you turn off the VDO and void your warranty. (False advertisement Nissan--Bad boy) Porsche is in a class by itself. Correct me if I am wrong here in saying this.

from what i've seen post count doesn't correlate to trollish behavior; you can have a high post count and still make inflammatory 'troll' posts that simply try to incite and provoke to get attention. look around, there are a lot of good examples around this forum

you're right though, i am not concerned with post count, and shouldn't have responded at all

Let me tell you, I almost bought a GTR as my DD, and I didn't mind the look of it, it isn't pretty but the performance claimed is out of this world!
however I didn't buy one after reading through these problems, sorry Nissan,YOU LOSE!

Streamlined, I can see where you are coming from man, you bought a car, but you can't use it to its full potential cuz something will break. I would feel the same

Yes, the porsche is in a class of its own. Then again you pay a lot more for it. Whats the point of starting this thread though?

IMO, Nissan made the mistake of putting LC on the GTR.
i was wondering the same thing about the new lc on the 911.

i hope it is indestructable, or i'll start 73 threads about this on 16 different forums as well.

and if it is, i'll be picking one up.

i'm looking at doing an event soon, and i believe i can lap faster than a friend in a 911t. and i'll be running at full potential... i've done this before, and nothing broke.

you guys must either be really smart, or clairvoyant... because nothing has happened to my car. i operate this car at 100%. what should happen? what will break when i'm lapping faster than a 911?

They are in the same performance class. Everywhere else the Porsche is a higher class of car. Class doesnt help you on the track though. Thats where the GTR is ahead of the Porsche stock to stock. Minor problem that a few suspension tweaks can remedy on the Porsche. Dont know why this is such a big deal. Anyone with a pulse knows the Porsche is the all around better car but Porsches performance hasnt been untouchable in years. Even the Veyron is much much slower than cars like the GT2, Viper, Zonda etc at the Ring or circuit tracks. Thats the breaks kids. Need to be more open minded nowadays. Too many choices to be **** about any one name brand.

And that's a rap 'kids.' Very true, the technology is killer nowadays. One day we will be 'booting up' our transportation. I just hope there is no windows logo involved.
