Epic Battle - GT-R vs Scuderia

2800 lbs vs 3900 lbs through the corners at Mugello.

Ferrari's finest vs a Nissan.

Who will win?

Both cars are stock.

Epic Battle

Nissan driver drove significantly better than the F car did.

It may be, I've never driven a Ferrari on the track though I have driven several other cars. I don't find the GTR to be any easier or harder to drive than most cars.

Regardless of how hard or easy driving a specific car may be, one has to be on the proper line and not miss the apexes which the F car driver does on several occasion. While I'm a fan of the GTR, the F car driver does not do proper justice to the capabilities of that car.

Obviously the GTR driver knew what he was doing, Im saying the GTR is a much easier car to control compare to the F430. Watch the video and review how stable the GTR was. When your car handles like that and along with a skilled driver its quite hard to miss a apex.

That driver certainly drove well, I agree! My point is he drove better than the F car driver. Put the GTR driver in the F car and I'd bet $1 you'd see better performance out of the F car.

You need an average driver to drive fast with the gtr on the contrary try putting an average driver in the F430 and exactly is what you are seeing in that clip.

Interesting. Have you driven a GTR at the limit? What is it about the GTR that makes an average driver drive faster? Do you think the GTR driver would have driven the F car better or was it the car?

Ya Gtr is so damn hard to drive, you need skills to drive that because it fishtails and have no grip at all. Im pretty sure you havent driven a F430 before or should I ask have you ever driven an rear wheel drive with more than 500hp? Drive that first before making your statements and I mean race it. And no i dont think gtr driver was better, imo he just got the easier handling car which made him looked like an expert, F430 is a sweet car but need a lot more talent to drive fast.

Have you driven a GTR at the limit? Doesn't look like it was a race though they were obviously pushing it quite a bit, probably the most aggressive track day I've ever seen. Looks like a lot of fun.

So if it wasn't the driver that is superior in your opinion, does that mean it's the car? I do admit, the GTR does some amazing things for a 3,800lb car!

The Scud driver was HORRIBLE, not saying the GTR wouldn't lap as fast but that was apples/oranges from a driver's perspective.

The GTR is a moving computer. It has a different mind to do everything, making it such a capable car. I love the car, but come on the Scud is a RWD lightweight stripped Ferrari with barely any electronics. Yes the GTR is a much easier car to drive at the limit. I have driven a GTr and pushed it HARD and it still had more to go. I've never driven an F car, but I can imagine based of different Vette's I've driven the F requires a lot more skill and talent. Switch drivers and I bet the outcome would have been the same or very similar.

Two different drivers. But that F car did sound good while the GTR was on it. Both cars are nice..

I agree the GTR driver was definitely more polished and aggressive than the Scuderia driver. A testament to the Scuderia's credentials was how long he stayed out in front, despite lack luster driving.

....the real questions is what was that R8 driver doing (2:30)?
