anyone have a 996tt wing spanner tool?
Hey guys. Any of you happen to have a 996tt rear wing spanner tool I can use/borrow? I just need it to swap my wing hydarulics. Lunch/beer for your kindness is on me.
Thanks!
Jon

Thanks!

haha. it wouldn't suprise me if alex/james offered such. they're just cool like that.
I would love to pay them to swap my spoiler hydraulics for me, but the only problem would be getting the spare turbo lid to fit in the p-car to bring over to them haha (remember i need the tool so I have no way to 'gut' the spare lid yet).
If I have the tool to remove it, I might as well do the swap myself while I'm at it to minimize the back-and-forth trips.

i haven't found time to pick up the tool from alex yet lol. my fault.
After all is said and done, I won't even have a new look. I'm just replacing my leaking spoiler hydraulic system with a known good spare one I picked up.
It's like a timing belt job...you spend all this time and money...and at the end of the day, you have no gains to show for it.

It's for a peace of mind and feeling good internally... if you buy it, I know I won't.
Remember kind of shake the hydraulics after you put the wing on, and before tightening the hydraulics to the deck lid. This allows the wing to settle in a natural position with the hydraulic system, so it can move up/down smoother.
Good luck!

Nothing to worry. James did it the first time for me and I watched; and I did it myself the second time (defect replacement).
If just happens that you messed up (oddly), we are in good hands (short drive to the sharks cove).
