Driving advice
You know, I was just thinking...
Comparing our two post counts and join dates.
I consider myself "into" cars, you take it to a whole new level.
You'll know more than most of us within a year I am sure. Especially, if you get on the track. Careful, it's an expensive addiction.

the best is when you recover from doing it and you still get a decent time!

hhaha! yes, my counts are getting out of hand! haha! well, if you read many of them, they have nothing to do with cars. while some do, many are about watches, people, vacations, you name it!
that's what happens when the hubby works till 9:00 pm. i get home, catch up on laundry...take a shower....unwind....and hit 6.
so, you still may be a bigger enthusiast! i'm just a 6speed surfer.
okay guys, help me out here. since i've not yet done a day at PR, or any track for that matter, what exactly does it mean when you say "point by" ?
Pointing by is what you do (for everyone) when you drive an FX45 for your first few times at the track before you get a porsche.

jeff,
read page 9 of this thread.
Bleu O.
If you consistently run 1:35 at Pacific w/ your Exige you need to only point by race cars. Tim who has a very fast black GT2, runs around 1:36. My best time w/ my GT2 is 1:37s and that's hauling *** at 160mph on the straight away. So again no need to automatically point by GT3s or Turbos unless on the straight away.
Mark's right most high end street cars such as F430,CGT,FGT etc.,etc...barely runs below 1:40s .

I'm pretty sure no one is running consistant 1:35's at Pacific in a stock Exige ........ unless that brotha gots mad skillz
PS, I still stand by rev matching on the street and compression braking
, I see so many people downshifting without and I feel sorry for their clutches.
HONESTLY, There have been people that have broken into the 1:30's at Pacific in a stock M Car like mine or so I've heard, I don't doubt that an Exige with a driver who has a wallet that says "Bad Motherf*cker" on it would be able to beat that time.

Breaking into the 1:30's as in 1:39 no problems but if you're talking consistant 1:35's or lower in a stock 190 hp Exige...... I don't know dude
Damn, I thought Exiges made more power than that. I thought they were 240ish honestly. Either way, I don't have doubts on Bleu's claims
Exige S can do 100mph in less than 10 seconds though apparently...that's pretty fricken quick!

BTW, Stock E36 M3 would need to be driven pretty well to bust the 1:40 mark.
