Jason just a hand full of pic's of some Porsches. You've seen them before. Lets talk business. 8" new snow at Whistler/Blackcomb yesterday. How was skiing? Did you hit the Couloir Extreme on Blackcomb today with those Freshies falling? I love that drop in. Almost as intense as Corbet's at Jackson Hole.

This is the only picture I got that day.

Keep me in the loop on this. I've only made it to one event so far (back in April) and want to make it to more

Definitely interested in a regular early morning meet.

Nice to see everyone,

Mark - As much as I would like to save you some gas money, and see your firm buttocks riding on your mountain bike () I think we will end up looking for a home on the east-side.

Bruce, Mark, Bleu, Jody and all interested parties. We just need to spread the word, work with some local businesses and be consistent. As always the nicer the cars that show up, the better the turnout and more likely the garage queens will show up, and the Honda Civic's will shy away.

A website may ensue, with a Calendar and potential for sponsors. (Barrier, Griots, Phil Smart, Cantrell, Speedware, Etc)

The drives will be planned as before but with a larger turnout we may have other options (Long Drive, Short Drive, Poseur Drive)

Thanks again for coming out, I will see what I can do with the weather.

Cheers,

You must be magic, you managed to get a picture of yourself with the camera hanging outside the car!

Yesterday the conditions at Whistler was variable throughout the day. Early on in the day we had good visibility up over by Peak chair coming down Whistler Bowl over to the ridge back to the lift. Good snow (not light but not heavy either) throughout the day. Later in the day on the lower sections it started getting really foggy. Towards the end of the day, me and Cable headed over to Harmony Bowl to get a couple good runs in since visibility was still good over there. Skied to Whistler Village just after all the lifts closed.

Today it was raining/snowing at the base but snowing up at the top of the Blackcomb Gondola. When we got to the base of Jersey Cream/Glacier Express it was still snowing but due to high winds (120 km/h up at the top) they kept Glacier Express closed but opened up Jersey Cream. We pretty much explored the entire area around that region. With that much snow coming down we had plenty of good snow coverage to explore.

I went down Couloir Extreme and Spanky's Ladder in early December which surprisingly had good coverage at the time. Maybe next time when we go, we'll get to try those runs you have in mind.

Ben was a great host for all of us and we all had a great time! I'll try to post pictures and the videos sometime soon. Probably not in this thread.

It's not Bellevue, but it's close and with XXX Burgers just down the street (known car hang out,) the Starbucks in Issaquah right next to Krispy Kreme's has a huge parking lot. The BMW clubs use this Starbucks all the time for Meet-n-greets as well as starting points for drives (North and South)

Other than that, I can't think of many places.... there's a Tully's in Clyde Hill/Medina, but that parking lot is TINY... it's also not a lot of traffic. Maybe Newcastle? That's a very nice area of Bellevue and IIRC, there's a Starbucks in a Grocery Store parking lot that should have a lot of room.

If we head over to Redmond, there's another nicer Starbucks by the old QFC and Canyon's. There a huge line of parking spots right on Redmond Way that are usually empty. As the event grows, we could take over more parking spots from the grocery store.

Kirkland would be great but there's no good parking near a coffee shop.... hell right on the main drag there's not really any good parking at all for a bunch of cars.

Jags,

Friday should be cloudy, Saturday should have a few snow showers but Sunday will be sunny. Of course those forecasts are for the village area. No idea what it'll be like up at top. But you should expect great conditions when you go. The drive up there is a nightmare because of all the construction going on Hwy 99. Drive safe.
