Today many cars are constructed without mounting hardware for a front license plate. Washington State citizens who own such vehicles are required to either purchase mounting hardware, if available, or drill or otherwise modify the front bumper of their vehicles to come into compliance. This not only costs the Washington State consumers more money but can also lower the value of their vehicles, especially in regards to selling to other states that do not require front license plates.
Particularly painful if you have a car which is exempt from having a front bumper. =(

I just got popped today! Total BS, cop was a complete ***, calls me stupid and then wants to talk about my car??? I said thank you but I don't have any desire to speak to you anymore, goodbye. I rolled up my window and drove off with him still standing there. It was a few hours ago and my blood is still boiling!

If this had any bearing on my drivers record, I would call Jag for sure. I don't think I will have any issues fighting this one by myself.

I usually just say "But officer, the front plate wont stay on when i get above 140 coming home from school."

No license plate for past 8 years, and only 1 ticket. I think the lack of a license plate saved my as- once. I got caught going 80 in a 35 zone because a Dodge Charger was tail gating me. Oops..that Charger was a cop.

After apologizing, a lot of "yes sir", etc., etc., he said, "well...I gotta write you up for something..so I'll just give you a ticket for no license plate and you can go on your way." Maybe if I didn't have the front license plate he would have written me up a nasty ticket.
