Lotus Exige spun out in snow.

Anyone on this board? I saw a dark blue, almost purple exige spun out on NE 8th. St. on the way to Sushi tonight. I hope everything was ok, I saw there were no passengers, and there were flares out.

I hope not! I spun out in the G at around ~7pm in Bellevue... but I managed to regain control & get to the freeway, after that it was alright.

Wish I could say that was me...

...Why does my car have to be broken the year we get butt loads of snow!

No one that I know of yet.

Having spun and rolled one of these cars before, I can say that while they are surprisingly safe in an accident, they are incredibly easy to rotate. That's very nice on the track, but without some serious car control sensitivity they certainly like to bite you when the traction goes away.

This is why I refuse to drive the Lotus in the snow, and I'm from Alaska.

I hope everyone was ok and if the driver is on this board please let us know how everything turned out.

I don't know the person either, but hopefully they were okay and no damage was done to the car. Anything that hits the loti has the possibility of causing an ungodly repair bill

I actually saw that the police officer had left flares behind, and then he got his cruiser Ford Crown Vic. sideways attempting to turn around. He was having some fun.

R compound tires & sub 35deg weather does not equal fun driving!!

I would be scared to drive a Elise in the show, I'm sure all the SUV drivers can't see it.
