this event has been going on for over three years now, second saturday every month at the historic triple-xxx rootbeer in issaquah (just off i-90). they open early just for us. most get there by 8am.

'breakfast' is usually coffee and krispy kreme donuts.

this is more of a social event with lots of car talk, rather than an actual breakfast.

 

next one is in two weeks, april 11th 2009.

a group of canadians will be driving down to attend this one, and we are planning a drive and brunch afterwards. should be fun!

I'm a new owner (have detailjohn's old 996TT) and am happy to see notice about this. I'll certainly try to attend one of these as it's very close to my neck of the woods.

i just called triple-xxx to inform them of the expected high turnout for april 11th, and they agreed to serve breakfast this time around as a special arrangement.

breakfast there is greasy, but it's good.

 

Wait a minute, when did that happen? I'm shocked that John sold the 996TT to you.

 

Thank you very much for the kind words, although obviously John did all the work. My wife and I are really impressed by the car (our first Porsche) and I definitely look forward to learning a lot more about it.

We completed the sale last week. I found the car listed here on 6speed and it's the only reason I'm a 996TT owner now as I had kind of given up on the dream but found the perfect car so close to home. I know that it wasn't easy for John to give up the car, but he's definitely doing what is right for his growing family.

 

It's a step in the right direction for John. He definitely needs the right car for his "growing family" as you said. Congratulations on your newest toy! She's gorgeous!
