Ran a Marathon Today

And I am not sure if I won or the marathon did. I finished it but the amount of hills was something new to me really I have been running flat for many years for the most part.

annnnnnnd how I feel right now

My foot is wrecked and i have no clue what happened. I almost never have issues with my feet.
Anyone else run it today?

Congrats Andy! Both Josh and I did the half marathon and my feet sure as heck didn't look like that but my knees/legs hurt like hell! I can't imagine doing a full marathon yet. I never really trained for the half marathon but I bet that if I did, I'd be able to handle the full. One day...

Yeah I must have had a bad crease in my sock without realizing it for oh about 19miles and it really got me. My other foot is fine. Yeah I just saw the other thread. I am definitely kind of out of it right now to say the least.

Ouchie!!!! That looks painful! And I thought my blisters on my hands after go-karting were bad! Make sure you keep those clean and wear a pad on them so you don't get an infection!

Nice job on your run!

Yeah I was in the zone for about 19-20 miles before I was like "wtf my foot hurts really bad!" That is when I realized I was running on a creased sock and it had already done the damage. But I am just stoked that I finished the race and everything went smooth otherwise.

Ugh well I walked to the store a minute ago. My body feels fine actually, no worse then a hard kegs day in the gym. HOWEVER my knees and feet are a whole different story. I am basically walking on my heels but it hurts far less then yesterday. While out I picked up bactine, gauze pads, tape, and a good foot healing ointment. Should be good as new in a few days.

Make sure you use alcohol as jim said. It helps dry your feet out super quick.
