Recommendation for doctor

My knee has been bothering me non-stop for 8 months or so, I saw one doc and he just told me to take glucosamine... it helps a little, but not much.

Anyone have a recommendation for who I should go see?

Stop commuting with your legs to Bellevue every day may be a good start.
You may want to go to an Orthopedic for a CT scan or xray exam to check for injury to the ligaments in that area. I know a lot of carpet installers with knees problems.

I went to an orthopedic place, got xrays, and he told me nothing lol. I'm going to get the xrays from them and go see someone else, but I want to see if anyone has a recommendation.

There is a group of Ortho by my place call Rainier orthopedic if you want to check them out. You may need to get a CT scan to check for torn ligaments. Steve aka seattle sun ....is an orthopedic on here.

For the love of god. Don't let waste your time or that of another orthopod by getting a 'CT scan'. Without benefit of an exam, get an MRI. CT will more than likely be worthless.

Or forget about the cost and just go straight to knee replacement.

I had knee issues also and my family doctor recommended that I go see a doctor that specializes in sport medicine. I don't remember the name of the doctor I visited but he helped me immensely after he finally diagnosed my knee issues as being patellar tendinitis. I went to a local PT office and started wearing a knee support brace and that helped immensely.

Or an MRI? (Saw that bonehead beat me to that one)

And while it's no fun, it is the best way for them to get a good look.

Your knees would feel a lot better if you stop putting so much stress on them when you squat to pee
