Post Your FIRST Car
Didn't have a camera "back in those days". 1950 2 door Ford Crestline. Black/grey with headers, dual pipes with Maremont mufflers (mellow), rear lowering blocks, shaved hood and trunk, wide whites. Cool car! Probably 0 to 60 in about 13 seconds.
If I still had the back seat, I'd have it bronzed.

Funny, I'm the third deaf person to post in this thread. Must be something in the air.
I don't really have a picture of my first car which was a 1990 White Corvette. I had fun with that monster of a car back then but it also had sooo many issues that I was finally glad to be rid of it.
Josh, are you going to share the car wash story?

1972 Buick Skylark GS in Flame orange with a white top. GTO Mags and a terrific turbo 400 tranny. Run 1/4 mile and never needed 3 gear

faster cars when the chips were down. Raced a big mouthed rich kids
6.6 4 speed Trans Am and took $500 from him even to my surprise. No one would race me after than and $500 was big dollars back then. I bought when I was 14. Best burn out in the car was my Dad. Picked me up after school in it. In front of the local hang out were all the kids gathered we watched a Nova smoke the tires. My dad power broke the then Hard poly tires and got them smoking. A cloud engulfed the car where you could not even see it. He let of the brake and when it hooked up it lifted the front tires as it exploded out of the smoke cloud. He got pulled over 1/2 a block later with everyone watching. He knew my Dad and let him go with a laugh. He did it again covering the squad car and the flame this time. The legend of the Flame was born. Saw a 72 GSX clone sell at the last Mechum auction for 13K. I was pissed as I had not registered as I would have gave 20K for the car. White with Black stripes 455 and a 4 speed.
Lots of high school memory's in the flame. Big bench seat was the best for parking

don't have a picture, but it was 1988 Acura Integra LS coupe, such a reliable car, which was the reason why I stuck with Japanese cars 'til I got myself the US built Honda Accord, I turned around quick on that one, moved on to BMW & Porsche since then.
Wish I had a pic of my first car to share.
1981 VW Polo (Registration GHY 761X) in a beautiful deep maroon.
It had (IIRC) a 950cc (yes, that's not even a liter) 4-banger that I thrashed the living hell out of at virtually every traffic light stop. 0-60 in 17secs (downhill and a prevailing tail-wind would reduce that number to possibly under 16 secs). Nearly killed myself in it one day picking an argument with a tractor pulling a plough (the plough won).
You HAVE to have owned a car like that to REALLY be able to appreciate how lucky you are to get to drive a Ferrari 430 Scuderia any time you want...

great thread! don't have picture either, but bought a '72 Chev Blazer when i was 15. had a built small block 400, Holly double pumper, edelbrock intake, cherry bombs! it was the loudest beast that could spin all 4 of the huge tires
it was black with a removable, maroon, hardtop. Can't tell you how many drive lines and u-joints i spun off as well as the two engines i blew drag racing! I think i spent every weekend trying to keep that thing running. ha ha, good times
This isn't my rig, but i looked just like it.

I have a print around here somewhere of the old girl that I will have to scan and add to my post when I can find it.
A 1990 Dodge Shadow ES Turbo that I got for my 14th B-Day (when my mom got a new car). I loved that thing. Modified it to make it reasonably quick, made it almost all the way through high school, and had it killed by a soccer mom trying to corner like Michael Schumacher in a minivan. The (legally parked when hit) car was totaled, and I woke slumped over the passenger seat.
While there are many reasons to hate Minivans, that is mine...

One sweet 1989 Ford Escort Hatchback. Drove that car for a long time. The stereo was worth twice as much as the car. The car was a piece of junk but it never let me down or stranded anywhere. Sold it to a friend for $300.
