Any Seattle area 996TT owners with short shifters around?
Any Seattle area 996TT owners with short shifters around?
Hey guys and gals,
I'd like to add a short shifter to my 996TT and have been doing a bit of research on the matter. Despite getting a lot of great feedback, it seemed that the general consensus was that it is always best to see if you can check one out in person.
So, if any Seattle area owners would qualify for that and would tolerate my coming by (or meeting somewhere) to check it out, I'd be very appreciative. I'd also be happy to buy you a nice beverage for your time!

Thanks in advance.

Hey Jag,
Thanks for your response. Is that the shop that Alex runs within Carb Connection in Kirkland by any chance? Also, which short shifter do you have in your beast?

No Max Rpm in Bremerton...its the ssk EVOMS sells
Hey, thanks a lot Jag. I'll let you know if I can make it out there to do so. The models I'm most interested in seeing are the 996/997 SSK, the factory 997 shifter, and possibly the 997 GT3 shifter.
Hey Vincent,
Thanks for your reply. From your own experience, were the metal bushings of the GT3 shifter a noticeable improvement in shift feel and/or engagement relative to the plastic bushing variants? Also, is there any chance I could check yours out?

Steve all I know is that it was smooth and responsive. I would love to let you check it out but I sold my GT3 a few years ago. I'm sure you if can call Barrier parts they will be happy to help you out.
