The new guy!!

Happy New Near to Everyone!
I stumbled across the site a couple of months ago. I am new to the Pacific Northwest and I am looking for a reputable independent mechanic for my 2001-996. I live in Snohomish County and would have no problem driving a little further.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

I use Gerber Motorsports... Walter Gerber ran the 935 campaign a while back for Bayside racing... Small shop that has been very straight with me for years. Small things never suddenly become big ones unless necessary...

From his Bio... " During his time in the U.S. Walter has managed the teams of drivers ranging from Bob Wollek, Jurgen Barth, Hurley Haywood, Derek Bell, Jeff Andretti, Lynn StJames, to Bobby Rahal and many others. During his time with these drivers, Walter has managed to rack up an impressive list of victories. Among these were the 24 Hours of Daytona as recently as 2001, the 12 Hours of Sebring..."

Welcome! It's great to have another NW member!

While I have no experience at Motoring Unlimited myself, I highly recommend MAXRPM Motorsports in Bremerton. Yes, it's a distance, but they will arrange pick up and drop off for you. Be sure and ask for Maegen or Alex. Let them know that Boxstergirlie Jody sent you. You'll be in good hands.

They have a state of the art shop with a dyno. They work with Evolution Motorsports as well as holding tech sessions and other events. This summer, they hosted part of EVOMS summer tour with the Gumpert Apollo. They are also active in the PCA and motorsports events. They've worked on both our 996 and 986.

Come and say hello to the NW crew at ERTC when it starts back up again!

Arrow At your 60k service...

...you might consider the updated RMS and an LN Engineering updated IM bearing kit...

And if you are in there already you might do the clutch kit as well.

Welcome!

Welcome,
You can't go wrong with any of the already mentioned. Best to call each of them up and talk to them to see who you are comfortable with. Chances are you will need to have futher maint done in the future.
MaxRPM: Alex
MU: Jake
Gerber: Charles
Have enjoyed great results with each of them.
Good luck.

Another huge thumbs up from me for Motoring Unlimited. Any of these shops are capable but I like MU myself and I've been in the car world for a very long time.

Another thumbs up for Gerber MS here too! They've worked on my Boxster S and I've been very happy with their services.
