Best platform(car) to stuff a RB26DETT in ?
sometime next year im looking at building a little toy , i want to stuff the skyline RB26DETT in something, not beeing super familiar with it , i was wondering , what would be the best car platform to drop it in ?
without having to do ALOT of crazy fabrication .

i hear that to put the rb26dett in a 240 is very hard and requires alot of fabrication , i forget but its something that gives major problems , so i think most stuff the older
rb25det in there instead.
anybody that familiar with this please chime in , thanks.

RB S30Zs are fairly common swaps, but it is far from the best chassis to stuff one in. You would need to stuff it in the stouter 280Z rather than a 240Z and make sure the chassis was completely free of rust.
I've got crinkling in the metal from the output of just my L28ET.
The L engine is the father of the RB, so the engine fits fairly well and there are companies that already make the motor and tranny mounts along with the crossmember specifically for the S30.
The RB25DET isn't exactly older than the RB26, it's just that you can't utilize the 4WD Getrag from the RB26 in a car unless you want to also do a 4WD conversion, and the RB25 tends to be a slightly cheaper swap. The RB25DET's mating transmission fits very well in an S30, so it's a natural swap people opt for.

is there any other platform out there that ideal?
so with the RB25 , basicly they swap them in , sinstead of the RB26 becuase , they do not plan on using it for AWD , and since thats the case , its not worth it to spend the extra loot to stuff the RB 26 in there ?

Infiniti M30 also known as a Nissan Leopard would probably be the coolest but they are getting rare.....which might be desirable since you already see plenty of RB in 240sx.
The Z31 takes that engine well.
The 240sx is so common but.......you can find parts easily and the wrecking yards are full of them.

I think trying to put the RB26 in anything would require quite a bit of customization with the exception being a 240sx since its been done previously but still some custom fabrication. The RB26 is a twin turbo parallel setup that came out of the skyline GTR and was mated to an AWD system. The RB25 is a single turbo from the skyline GTS and RWD setup. 26/25 stands for 2.6L and 2.5L respectfully. I believe both were rated with the same horsepower but the RB26 produced substantially more than it was rated. Japans "Gentlemens Agreement" regarding published horsepower.
My advice would be keep it simple and use a toyota 2jzgte. Many have put those in E35 bimmer, 240sx, 240Z, 300ZX, Lexus Sc/GS/IS trucks, etc etc etc,. Its easy to find aftermarket parts, and whatever you need for the engine can be found at the local toyota stealership.
I think he's already chosen his engine and it's the car choice he's having trouble with though if I were considering a RB26, I would probably go all the way and use the twincam head on an australian RB30 since that engine can handle big hp with mostly stock bottom end.
I try to stay with the same manufacturer.
Sadly, only the first generation supra is light enough for my liking in the toyota lineup but nissan has many lighter weight cars suitable for a big hp straight six.
Of course, the VH45DE or later nissan V8 are also good for big hp but there are some bottom end issues that need to be addressed.
