Panamera replaces Cayenne?

Will the new Panamera be replacing the Cayenne? WIll they be discontinuing the Cayenne or building both models simultaneously? What is the projected performance and engine offerings of the Panamera?

You should see the new Cayennes come out as a 2011 model in Fall 2010.

Don't think that's going to happen, they're selling too many of them. I do think the Panamera will cannibalize some percentage of Cayenne sales.

The panamera is practically a luxurious 2+2 sports-sedan with little space (for passengers, trunk etc.)
whereas the Cayenne is an luxurious 5-seat sports-offroader with lots of space in all areas

Spoke to my dealer yesterday, and Porsche plans to have essentially "4 branches" in their future production line-up: the rear engine 911 line, the mid-engine Boxster/Cayman line, the front engine Panamera line, and the SUV Cayenne line.

There are no plans to stop the Cayenne.

Nice! I figured the Cayenne would come out about 12 months after the Panamera looks like I was right

Gotta loved the taped on window lines!

BTW the Panamera looks sexy in black!
