What I love about the Panamera thread
Just to compensate for the irritating things thread, thought Id list my favorite parts about the car (PTT in my case):
-The wing. I love how cars back off when they see the wing pop out.
-Respect. A Ferrari F430 followd me very closely on the circle road around the city a few days ago. I took the right lane for him to take it, but he nicely moved behind me
-The powerkit turbos. I have never felt a turbo engine react this fast, its almost like a N/A engine.
-Launch control and AWD. I think my friend put it nicely to words: Just Insane, it feels like the car jumps in the air before awsome acceleration.
-I love that it is faster than my former supercar, the 997TT. I still cant believe it.
-I love the Burmester. Really insanely quiet car, the first car ever I think deserves a nice stereo, as on the highway the car is almost totally silent.
-I love how the brakes are silent, the bus old bus brake sound my 997TT was making drove me mad sometimes
-I love that I can take my family to our cottage with strollers and a weeks stuff, and there is still room to take more stuff back and they ride in total comfort, but when I drive myself, I can just turn it into a beast with the sport plus button.
-I love how people think its ugly in photos, but everyone is very surprised how good it looks live.
I think this is the best allroundersupercar in the world!

I've owned a lot of cars and they all have room for improvement but this is for certain the best all around 4 door sports car in the world - it is just fantastic.
The ergonomics lend themselves for improvement but otherwise it's damn perfect.

I love everything about the car, except that Porsche nickel a dimes on options that in many cases should be standard on the Turbo models.

i really think the F430 driver knew he would have had a hard time matching the PTT`s acceleration.
Could have been really embarrassing for him, cause the PTT is faster imho.

My list:
The combination of turbo boost/ torque is nice in "comfort" mode; great in "sport" mode; and awesome in "sport plus" mode.
The curves of the body are more attractive when viewed in person than in some press photo - people's reactions to it are great to register.
The silly auto-tilting sideview mirror for reverse; alternately, the time delay for it's return to the normal driving setting is irritating.
Burmester hi-fi system is actually pretty good; the class-D amplifiers are a bit lacking (from a truly hi-fi perspective), but all-in-all, as a car audio system, it's pretty good. Wish it supported at least the audio portion of video DVDs. Listening to Monty Python videos makes those Chicago-Atlanta drives a little easier. (My workaround: plugging my iPad into the USB port in the armrest.)
The alternate front spoiler & sideskirts really give the car a more aggressive - and appropriate - appearance.
Four comfortable seats. No rear bench.
Carbon fiber (fibre if you're in Europe, I guess) trim package is quite nice.
Heated steering wheel. Nice in winter.
Launch control.
Speed sensitive wing or the manual selection of the wing.
PDK & 7 gears: makes extended range driving . . . well, extended.
Porsche dials in the dash . . . even though the PTT is *not* a race car, it's nice to have the nod to Porsche's racing heritage with the tach on prominent display.
The two tuck zones in the rear hatch area behind the rear wheels. Just need a good cargo box with sides so stuff won't slide around in the boot.
Tire pressure monitoring. It's already caught two punctured tires (both by screws) before the tires became totally flat. I had the advance warning of low tire pressure.
Power outlet in the glovebox. Perfect for the necessary radar detector.
Multifunction control w/ the programable button.
I'm sure I can come up with more appreciated features. There really aren't that many worthy complaints against the car. Many of those that exist are failures in understanding what the car and its systems can actually do.
One real complaint: I wish the radio system could/would show album art from DVDs/ CDs of .mp3s or other formats. Being able to view metadata would be nice. I may be an extreme example, but I have over 3 terabytes of audio that I can burn to DVD; it'd be nice to be able to use the metadata in a better (more efficient) fashion.
