LED interior light kit
#33
I changed the interior lights to LEDs, footwell lights, door edge lights, trund lid, trunk compartment, very easy to do. Since the lower console LED is so un-noticeable, I will not bother.

If you have money to burn, you can spend $1000 to get the optional factory extended LED package, the only difference is you get the lower console LED strips which are so dim that they are barely noticeable. I could also change the sun visor mirror to LEDs but I chose not to as I prefer facial color under incandescent light which looks more natural.

I don't have enough posts yet to PM you about where you got the LED lights so could you PM me with that info? Thanks in advance.

I bought the LED bulbs from a local auto gadget store in Toronto. As you are from San Diego, there is no use for me to tell you where I bought mine from. These bulbs are fairly common and should be easy to get.

I know this is an old posting, but I wish I had the following information when I worked on the lights:
Using a plastic trim tool pry the trim off starting from the front and working your way back. Then with the same trim tool start removing the dome from the front until it "stops" then about 1/2 inch to 1 inch back there are clips on both sides. Push in there with the trim tool to release. There are more clips further back that I was unable to release.
I used the space that was opened to change the bulbs without fully releasing. Removing the bulbs was difficult as the turning action was difficult - I used a cloth to protect my tender fingers . Simply remove the bulbs and replace with your replacement LEDs.
Afterwards pop the dome light area back up and then re-attach the trip STARTING FROM THE REAR of the light (near the mirror).
I hope this helps
