I had my Valentine one installed at the dealer. They used one of those 3 legged fuses. I don't know the name for, it basically taps into any open port and gives u an empty one with fuse I believe.

I installed the Valentine Savvy adapter in the OBD socket and take the power from there. It also allows you to dial in the speed that you want the alerts to be persistant, below that they are muted. Perfect for cruising around mall parking lots with a door opener every 100 feet! Routing the cable up to the visor and around the overhead light was quick and easy. Total installation was <15min.

This is the first time I hear about the Savvy adaptor. I have 2 valentines, I could invest in this. Do you still see the counter and lights on the device, just no sound below the set speed?

Correct - it will beep once and then go mute below the set speed. Lights and indicators all work as usual.

It's called "add-a-fuse" and can be found at any autozone/pepboys, etc. for a couple of bucks.

Here's a link to my V1 install in my Panamera with a pic of the add a fuse. The best part of it to me was moving the remote switch to the side of the console so I can mute it with ease.
