Where's the V6 roar?
I love my Panamera V6. I bought it as a daily driver because I have a couple other exotics in the garage for the weekends. The V6 has plenty of pep and the gas mileage is great. The car looks identical to the S/4S at about a $25K discount.
My only real complaint is the engine sound. Or lack there of. Porsche went over board to quite it down to nothing. Sounds like a sewing machine when it revs up. I have talked to some people and they recommend that I exchange the center straight pipe with an x-Pipe. This will eliminate the 3 resonators plugging up the sound. The other option is to replace the entire exhaust with something from Fabspeed or something other manufacturer. I really wasn't looking to spend $4K on an exhaust especially on a V6. All I really want is a little more engine note when I step on the gas.
Anyone have any experience here and/or done anything different with their exhaust? I don't want to hear I should have bought a V8!! That is not what I am asking.

For exhaust note, it's not that you should have bought a v8. It's that you should have bought another car. Only the gts has a decent exhaust note from inside the cabin. M5 and e63 sound much better.
Lol garage full of exotics. But goes for the el cheepo pani.
Should have bought the v8.
As well looking at your post history. You've asked this same question 3 times over the last few months. Lol. Didn't get the answer you were looking for the first few times round?

I would call and alk to a fabspeed rep or sponsor on this site for advice. The X pipe is a good way to make it sound better without breaking the bank and if you dont like it then you can always take it off and resell it. Best of luck with whatever option you choose and Im glad youre happy with the V6.

I'm really interested too... I choose the V6 to be practical on gas but still was impressed what this V6 can do
That in mind I long for a bit of sound..... Curious if you find an answer and one that pleases your lust for sound...

I had a 2011 Panamera V6 and took it to a performance shop, he made the car sound AMAZING, (no sound clips to attach). He removed the mufflers and goofed around with the exhaust pipes and tips, etc . . . . (kind of like what Bose does with the sound through tubes).
BUT, I would also be careful for what you wish for. The car sounded amazing at start up and downshifts etc . . . But it was very very loud in the car at highway speeds. I kept the car in a higher gear on the highway so the pitch was higher because the sound was to low and was obnoxious.
In regards to the v6 vs the v8, I also have an exotic in the garage and found no reason or could not justify the addition cost to get a v8 or especially the turbo because it was going to be used as my daily driver. The v6 drove fine and remember that the car is lighter than the v8’s and had enough torque. I think the v6 is a much better value than the v8’s. IMHO
I did make the following mods to her: 22” wheels, painted the brakes red with white letters, lowered with springs, exhaust and she looked amazing. She was hit from behind and was never the same and I traded it in for a 2012 Mercedes s550, which is much more comfortable especially since I ended up 4 herniated disk in my lower back and 2 in my neck ………. The s is more comfortable and I do miss the panny.

I spoke to Alex at Fabspeed and here is a video of their new exhaust for the V6 Panamera. What do you all think?

these two exhaust mods are pretty easy and straight forward and not that expensive as the entire exhaust. that is what I would do
the 200 cell cat down tube replacement requires the subframe to be dropped and for the V-6 probably not much more power for that cost and difficulty so probable would go with x- pipe and new mufflers at most
