iPod cuts off momentarily

I notice once in a while my iPod would cut off momentarily just before my car reaches a stop. Mine is an iPod nano 6th gen, I do make sure the Shake To Suffle is turned off. The same iPod played in our Cayenne does not have this problem. Does anyone have similar problem?

That's interesting, I haven't personally heard of this problem happening yet. Do you have it plugged in to the Porsche auxiliary input then ? I would be interested to know if others are having the same problem as well and hopefully they will chime in.

hey there,

SAme problem in my panamera, usually associated with the auto start stop function, it I turn that feature off I never have the problem. Never happens in a 2009 997.2 either which does not have the auto start stop function. Must be an electrical thing.

TGED - looks like you're still having the same problem. We talked about this in a previous post:
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ed-change.html

The pause happens when listening to iPod and Aux BT from iPhone. It does not happen with CD or radio (FM/AM/Sat).

It happens whether or not auto engine on/off is activated. I have not been able to figure out what's wrong and neither has my local Porsche dealer service advisor.

I've given up basically and now expect random brief pauses in music when coming to a stop.

Maybe it affects only the 2011 models.

Perhaps a software update of the PCM might solve the problem, mine is version 2.2. What's yours?

Mine is 2010, same here, those funny behaviours appear to happen by random
I always thought it is the problem with the quality of the USB cable... any other ideas?

I have used different USB cables, both Apple and aftermarket, still the same.

We have no problem with our 2013 Cayenne, only the 2011 Panamera is having this issue.
tonyep, do you have Porsche Car Connect online line service on your 2013?

TGED, my PCM is version 2.45. It was upgraded earlier this year with the 30k service. Did not fix the problem.

2012 same problem when connected by Bluetooth, I use the original apple USB cable no issues when wired. Only using Bluetooth I randomly get the letters that say "lost connection with phone" then I have to reconnect on my phone under settings and it sees it again. Not sure if its an iPhone issue or PCM issue. Car purchased new problem since purchased even with my moms old school phone with Bluetooth.

I think we are talking about two different issues. Mine only happens when connected to USB, no issue with AUX BT which I rarely use as the sound quality is much better when wired. I believe this is an unresolved issue with 2011 cars only. No one knows if this is a hardware or software issue.

Nope. Wasn't available till awhile later after my car is produced.
