I've been in the market for a 2010 ptt for a few months and finally see one that's optioned the way I want and before contacting my bank for the loan wanted to know something about the steering wheel display.

The car has PDK, sport chrono pakage, sport exhaust, rear shade etc. it has sport and sport plus.

My question is I do not see the steering wheel display for sport and sport plus/ Launch control. Does this mean the car isn't equipped with launch control?

Is the display on the steering wheel just an advantage or could it be that this car has has sport/sportplus and launch control but doesn't have the display on the steering wheel.

The reason I asked is about 2 months ago I found the same car but it had the steering wheel display but they sold it fast before I could buy it. Just want to know if im getting the same thing or not.

I think the display came after the '10 production. The '11 and on had them.

This probably answers it tho. The previous one I almost bought was a 2011.

Let me clarify... Only the display is not available, LC and all the other goodies are available. This display is just to inform you in what mode you are and LC engaged or not.

Wish I could but the car is out of state. I'll be driving to inspect it thoroughly before I finalize the deal and then ship it home. It's about 10hrs away.

I think you got the answer you needed, but on the 2010 the "sport" "sport plus" & "launch control" icons show up in the speedo display when activated on the 2011 forward those icons show up on the little hump on top of the steering wheel.

 

I hope the inspection goes well. Looks like you and I are/were on parallel paths. I spent several months looking for a '10 or '11 PTT and finally found the right one for me, optioned like I wanted (pic attached). I even had the same question about the steering wheel indicator and, yes, it was put on for the 2011 models. Just curious - in what city is the car you're looking to buy? What options are "must haves" for you?

 

You can see it on the top right with the flash on a 2012

 

The MY10 have the sport/sport+ displayed right of the digital speedo. MY11+ have it on either the MF steering wheel or sport steering wheel.
