Panamera Exhaust help
I have finally decided what Panamera to buy. I am getting a 2012 PTT. It does not come equipped with PSE. Is it worth buying an aftermarket exhaust? If so how much can I expect to pay.
I want the "throaty exhaust" My wife's M6 sounds awesome. I really would like that.

We have plenty of options to help you get the sound you want! Check out our Touring Edition exhaust system with 180 Technology equipped resonators which combat drone and allow you to enjoy an impressive sound with minimal sacrifice. Looking for something more aggressive? The Track Edition exhaust will let everyone know you mean business, while still being civil enough to be used for business.
You can take things even further and unlock more power with our High Flow Downpipes.
I'm here if you have any questions!

Check out the FABSPEED resonator bypass X pipe, it will definitely give your new Panamera Turbo some growl!

C-man,
Glad to see you found one! My Turbo S has the sport exhaust and it really only makes a small difference. The turbos do not produce a very throaty sound compared to the naturally aspirated engines (GTS, Panny S).
There are so many options available. Changing the Xpipe and the exhaust will get you a much deeper and throaty sound that you are looking for, but I caution you to confirm with your dealer that it will not effect your warranty, especially if it is a CPO car.
I asked the dealer about this exact issue, and they danced around the issue. They said that although they could not definitely say it wouldn't, but said in general as long as the exhaust is behind the Cats, it should not effect it, but that if you do have an issue, it will be addressed on a case by case situation. I tend to believe that if you just change the exhaust, you should not have any warranty issues, but changing the X-pipe may give them a reason to try and deny a warranty claim. This is what I was generally told by a couple of dealers, but none of them knew for sure, or wanted to say for sure.
Take that info any way you want. Good luck my friend and congrats!

I definitely don't want to give these guys a reason to deny the warranty. What are you planning on doing? If anything at all.
I have a 2012 S, and went with the Champion Motorsports Tubi exhaust. It wasn't cheap, but you will not find a better sound. I would load a file of the sound, but I have no clue how to do that.

C-man,
I actually thought about changing the exhaust, but I don't think I will at this point. I dabbled with the idea of adding a front lower spoiler to it, but will hold off on that for now as well. Let us know what you wind up doing.

I always make it a point to do business only with dealers who are not morons and tell people that they will void their warranties for doing things that cannot cause an issue that could possibly effect warranty like an exhaust, X pipe, wheels, CAI etc. I happen to live within a half hour of both Fabspeed and AWE and have used their products on multiple cars over the years including both of my current Porsche's and you cannot go wrong with either brand. My neighbor has 996tt and he went with AWE my Panamera has AWE, and the 997 is Fabspeed. Exhaust are one of those things you need to hear for yourself which is not always easy and it is as important how they sound from the inside as the outside.
It really depends on how "loud" you want your car to be. To me, what I was missing on my 13 PTT was to hear some kind of a feedback from the engine, because with PSE this car is super quiet.
So what I did was install an X pipe (in place of resonator) and disconnected valves on my stock exhaust (takes 5 min). To me, these two changes were enough to be happy as this is my daily driver and I do not want it to be very loud.
But, if I had to get an after market exhaust, I'd probably go with AWE touring edition, this exhaust to me sounds like a best match for this car.
