22" wheels info needed

This size looks hot on a panamera.

I am thinking about doing this on MY14 GTS but am concerned regarding bumpy ride, excess stress on the shocks, warranty issues, tire rub...

Do people go 9's and 10's still or larger?

How does the PTSM handle the new tires?

Any experienced input would be helpful.

22" are for looks only, they will not have a positive effect on the driving experience in any way I can think of. You live in a warm weather climate so hopefully your roads are in better shape than what we have on this side of the country. That might keep you from getting bent rims. I have two BMW 650's and on mine I took off the 20" boulders and put on lightweight 19" wheels and tires. Transformed to cars handling more than even I thought it would.

You should be fine driving on 22s in OC. However the ride will be rougher. No issues with shocks or warranty. Stay with the OEM spec'd diameters and you won't have any problems rubbing.

I think it is the gargantuan wheel wheels that are throwing off the look. I am also pondering a lowering module and then maybe I could maintain more rubber and fret about the inevitable pothole

That works, but the flip side is the scraping over driveways and speed bumps. Yes you can raise the car, but in real world driving situations, you often don't have time. Pick your poison. Either way though, the car looks much more aggressive. Good luck.

As others have said, 22s will be for looks. In my opinion, 21s look perfect on the Panamera. It depends on the style of wheel too as some 22s will look better than others. What style were you looking at?

I have been sitting on the 21" HRE's I bought from Damon at Tire Rack for around a year and a half. It took till June for the roads around here to get fixed after last winter and it was not worth buying tires and putting them of for just a few months. I still do not know what I am going to do with those wheels, I really like them. maybe we will have a warmer snowless winter this time.

Make sure they balance those 22s properly, I am on my second set, the first smooth as glass the set I just put on is vibrating my steering column something terrible.... Hopefully a simple re-balance will do.

Consider running 21's? great look like 22s but more rubber. Think its the perfect fit for this car.
The ride is not bumpy at all. Running on H&R springs and stock shocks. Was not able to get model with air ride unfortunately.

Thanks, I didn't want to go bigger as I would feel as I would look like this or feel like I'm driving one of these.
Not trying to say panny's on 22's ugly not just my style to run 22's

I've been riding 22s for two years...no issues. 22s take the looks of the Panamera to the next level.

22" wheels info needed

I've ran 22s on both of my pannys. 21 inch wheels are limited and tires
Go 22. I had cast wheels on my first I liked them. Had 22 inch 3 piece wheels made and are light weight and mean. For sale once I did the widebody I had another 3 piece set made. And with 700hp it does just fine 10.5 front and 12 rears. Ride is good and doesn't bother me at all.
Just make sure to get a good set. Forged multi is my advice. Welcome to the bug.
