PTT Cargraphicts Downpipes

I am thinking about getting some Cargraphicts Sport Cats 200 cell Downpipes and am wondering if anyone has any experience with them? I have seen gains from 15hp to 40hp and 70q advertised... If you have had downpipes installed could you tell me the real world/ seat of the pants/ quantifiable times that you experienced? See my signature for my current mods... Thanks!

Can't speak for that brand but in general there is a hp increase and decrease in turbo lag the more back pressure you eliminate.

I've got the fabspeed ones and if you re calibrate your tune you should see some pretty good gains from the downpipes. It's one of the bottle necks in the whole system and opening them up will help the car breathe better.

Which tune do you have? I spoke with the guys at GIAC and they said I don't need A reflash. They said all I need to do is install the downpipes and the re-flashed ECU will automatically learn them...

Agreed. Go with cat-less versions and GIAC program. You'll never look back.

Sounds good! I already have the GIAC tune and they said it does not have to be retuned if I get down pipes. I am hoping that is accurate. The ones that I am ordering are off a project car that was used for about 500 to 1000 miles. They are 200 cell cats with a new resonated X pipe from Cargraphicts. I wanted to keep a reasonable sound level and not go too loud...

It wont be too loud cat-less with the stock mufflers.

I'm sure it sounds good with stock mufflers, however I don't have stock mufflers. I have a TechArt exhaust so I need something resonated in the mid section or it might be too much for what I am looking for.

I have the FVD sport cat downpipes in conjuction with the Porsche Sports Exhaust and it totally changes the sound and the spool up. I also have a piggyback tuning box that needed to be specially retuned to accommodate the faster airflow. Know this, the stock Cats are 600 CEL and each side has a primary and a secondary redundant. Totally restrictive..so by moving to sport cats you are going to 200 CEL one on each side...it moves 5 times the exhaust pressure so the gains are real. You hear it, and feel it.

What’s the cost? The FVD ones are about $3400 for 10-12 HP gain which seems like a lot of $$ to me.

For mine Supersprint paid 1040 eur delivered, and it is not about power gain, to me it's only about sound but theoretically yes, maybe those poor 10 HP+
