I am going to check fuses again and let it idle for an hour or so later and see what happens. The code I am getting now is 000258 Pressure sensor, signal line op. cir.,short to GND. Sounds like the block but that's been replaced twice. Compressor is not kicking on at all now and the suspension is stuck in sport mode with the front right strut deflated. I am also going to dive into PIWIS 2 and see if I can air up the strut manually somehow.

Anyone know where the "gateway" module is? How about the PASM control unit? That seems to be where my problem may be located. Multiple codes for failure to communicate with the PASM and Gateway control units.

I would disconnect the (electrical) connection, then start the car with it disconnected. Pull the codes. If the code disappears or changes then it's that strut. Plug it back in and start then rescan. See if the code comes back.

From experience codes go away as soon as the problem is resolved...

Scan should be done with Ig-ON but engine off...

If I disconnect the strut the chassis failure message comes up. Put your thinking caps on folks it’s getting towed to the dealer in exactly one week if I can’t figure it out.

So now it is slammed down in the front right? What are the code(s)?

(Sadly it seems you got another rotten strut). Arnott rebuilt or new?

It’s only slammed because I let the air out. Codes all revolve around no communication with the pasm controller. I think the strut is fine.

With that code, does the area get hot to the touch? (A short to ground would get hot and I remember one of my cheapo struts that I bought did exactly that). I don't suppose you have a spare (good) strut laying around just disconnect the electrical and connect it and see if the code goes away.

Blocks are finicky, and vary by manufacturer. Through trial/error experience I only trust continental oem or Evan Fischer. New.. only new. Don't bother with reman. They cannot clean innards. You'll get dirty block that will get clogged and you replace again.
if one strut is offf more than others, valve block.
piwis section, diagnostics,, select level control,, f12, no, next, then you select fault finding...clear all,, then select repairs,, then choose test system.. it will activate compressor and adjust suspension. If block valves are too lazy or don't move, you'll get chassis fault.

Good luck.

luck. You sure you connect air lines well and tighten them too? One shock could be leaking at the shock, but can also be connection to valve block. All shocks have their own valves on shock and on block. Slice very thin slice of air line with blade, loosen screw then slide clean libe into new connector. Don't keep old connectors unless gor spare emergency parts.

All air lines are secure. I will try testing the system with the PIWIS later today. Thank you so much for he info on how to use it. I am sort of lost with PIWIS as there are no instructions.

Piwis2 is the actual diags tool used by dealers. Small silver laptops, with control modules and 2 cables. There are clones, yes, I have actual piwis2 tool.
there are videos on YouTube showing usage, takes some time to dig out.
genuine piwis2 tools have sage documentation on them for reference.

Well, I don't have a "test system" option when I get to that step that you listed, but I cleared everything I could with PIWIS2 and somehow got the compressor to kick on and the front right shock to raise. It was stuck in sport mode but I was also able to briefly control the suspension and raise it back to normal ride height before the fault message returned. I still can' get it to do anything else but at least it is at normal ride height and I can drive it to the dealer. The remaining fault code is "000257 pressure sensor signal line short circuit to B+" Still stumped but I surmise that the $100 Suncore block failed. I am not risking draining the system again to replace the block. I disconnected the battery and will let it sit overnight to see if the gremlins lose interest and leave. If they do it's getting traded in pronto before they return. It was a good run but Porsche beat me down to the point that the car is no longer enjoyable. I just hope the dealer fix is under 2K. Can't even sell it with the fault.

Well the dealer replaced the valve block and that cleared the fault. $800 later and I took it straight to a dealer and traded it in. I will be selling the PIWIS2 for a steep discount and donating some leftover parts to you guys. I loved the car but $-15k later I cut my losses. Good luck with your Pannys I’m out!

So sorry to read of all your issues getting it fixed. When we first got a suspension issue I drove home and parked it until I could get it fixed.

Take care! (What did you get as a replacement)???
