Stainless or aluminum polish with cheesecloth works wonders. Can remove baked on deposits with stainless bbq cleaner but apply with clorh without spraying.

Ok
i was lazy to go shopping so that night I used just Scotch bright and liquid soap and after 15 minutes it actually turns out very good. I probably can make it better later with steel wool.

I believe they can also be easily removed in the event you'd really like to polish them up and then apply a protectant. Looking good!

I didn't know that! Is there a bolt I'm not seeing somewhere?

I used some powder metal cleaner, water and a microfiber. Worked just fine.

Brasso and a microfiber towel do a great job, after a steel wool scrub! In my 4S there was one bolt holding each tip in place.
