Please help

I have a 2012 porsche panamaer4. The other night I came home from driving my panamera all day and left my lights on killed the battery. It took a week or so before I replaced it and now I have a yellow transmission fault. Every time I pull the transmission in to drive it tells me to put it back in park. How do I reset the transmission fault?

If you don't have a code reader (to scan and then clear codes) you can take it to any auto parts store and they should be able to do it for you. That is assuming the car is drivable. Since these transmissions "learn" a drivers behavior they can change over time - there is a transmission reset procedure you can also try here:

You cannot reset with just any code scanner like ODB2.
You need something like Durametric to clear many faults in the car.
If you do not have access, you will most likely have to take to shop, hope you can get it done free.
Dealer will charge you about 100 bucks to clear. One of many benefits of owning diags tools for this car.
Dont leave home without one.
