2010 Panamera S
2010 Panamera S
Hello,
My 2010 Panamera has 89k miles on it and my warranty is until 92k. The check engine light code is MAP/Sensor. I am getting a fuel injector and throttle bottle cleaning tomorrow. Hopefully that will clear the code. Does anyone have any experience with high mileage Panameras? What repairs do I need to look forward to in the future?
Thanks

Do you mean MAF code (P0068)? If so I've experienced the same at 60k miles and it turns out these cars don't even have a MAF sensor. Instead it's pointing to an air leak typically in the air intake system. I had had my carbon buildup cleaned and taken care of, then this issue came up several months later. Here's what it took to fix it:
1. Replaced AOS due to a tear in the diaphragm
2. Found a leak in cylinder #4 and replaced that seal
3. Intermittent sticking fuel tank check valve in the emissions system
4. Bad boost valve also in the emissions system that needed to be replaced
It drove my indy mechanic nuts (especially item #4) because they have never seen one of these fail before and the CTT also has them. It took a bit longer than I would have liked and cost a bit more to fix than I'd hoped, but it seems to be all sorted out and the car now runs great. I hope you can get your issues resolved much easier than it took me - good luck!

for the AOS you can check the line connecting it to the intake for any oil, should be little to none, even easier way is to try opening the oil fill cap when the car is running, should be firm but not hard (vacuum)
If I remember correctly it is much harder if the AOS has a tear, there is another thread around here from last year where this was discussed quite a bit.

Only if it's in the air intake system - turns out 2 of my issues could be found that way but the other 2 were in the emissions system and required considerably more effort to diagnose.
