Question for the group and specifically Atwong as he is the magician at all things difficult. I just had my tail lights painted. I really like the overall effect but it does present a few problems. The reverse lights are painted over but I can use the LED mini floods that 970GTS had posted (already ordered and received them). More of a problem is the turn signal being covered as it is not visible during the day and not that visible at night. So my thought was, during normal operation the turn signal is the white tear section which blinks red when the turn signal is active, I believe the whole tail light is on and red during normal night use and the bottom 2 rows that I have left exposed are additionally for braking. I wonder if the electrical connection at the connector plug for the turn signal lamps could be jumpered or if need be disconnected and spliced into the wire that activates the brake light so that those bottom 2 rows would act as turn signals in addition to their original function.
I'm guessing you could splice the turn signal with the brake. But I wonder what the taillight does if:
the turn signal is going and then you brake
the brake light is on and then you signal
