PDK or Throttle Response Issues??

PANAMERA S 2010. so my main issue is when im letting off the brake to back in and out of parking lots there is the throttle lag where im letting off the brake but the car isnt moving and then all of a sudden it surges back for a quick second and that keeps happening....it doesnt slowly creep backward at a consistent crawl speed all the time like id expect when slowly letting off the brake....

The other issue is when progressing forward from a stop light sometimes (particularly when i accelerate fast from a stop light) i dont get a smooth acceleration forward sometimes it surges and jerks me before accelerating more smoothly. it also happens to a smaller extent when im slowing down to stop. Also on the rare time when i am progressing forward from a parking lot i notice the engine will rev and the car wont move and then all of a sudden it will jerk forward and then it will be smooth

These things don't happen all the time but they happen more than I would like it to happen. The other thing I notice is when I have the PSM OFF the acceleration from a stop light seems to get smoother but i still have the hesitation and surge when trying to slowly back into parking spaces by slowly letting off the brake pedal.

Anyone else experiencing these issues? Is this a a PDK or a throttle response issue? the dealership could look into updating the pdk/transmission software but not sure if its worth it as it may not fix anything and i thought i updated software a few yrs ago. Anyone know how we can see what pdk software version we are running?

Thanks all

There is a lag. If I need quick acceleration, I need to switch to Sport Mode.

Nikita has a great question, is the experience the same in sport or sport plus? While it could be an issue, it doesn't sound entirely unusual compared to how the PDK acts in comfort mode normally.

The jerk you mention sounds the most concerning as opposed to a "delay". But even in normal operation the PDK can be jerky when cold or going up a hill.

Still believe the valve cleaning and throttle adaptation will help. Try just the manual adaptation reset Normalfellow shared.

i did try the pdk and throttle reset proceedures and no major help.

In sport mode it is a bit smoother but if i try to get off the line with quick acceleration it will be a bit jerky, it wont be a smooth take off

The main thing I wanted to ask about is if everyone else has the issue of backing into/out of a parking spot with slowly letting off the brake and sometimes the car doesnt creep slowly at a steady speed, sometimes it wont move at all and then all of a sudden move backward for a quick moment (important if trying to backup to a percise spot)....same thing sometimes happens if im slowly accelerating backward it wont move smoothly backward ill hear the engine reving and then all of a sudden a quick jolt moving backward...doesnt happen all the time but happens quite often

Would a PDK update help this? the throttle/pdk reset didnt help it.

I apologise for not answering directly earlier. I have experienced the pulsing reverse symptom you noticed. Whether it has gone away completely I could not tell you, because things keep popping up with this car one after another...

jzchen thanks for the reply, yeah thats a good way of stating it, a pulsing reverse symptom...pulsing small surges rather than a smooth slow crawl when backing up at times.

Anyone else notice these issues? Does it happen in all Panameras?
