2016 Pan Hybrid, Engine light on - No AC

Engine light is on and no AC on my 2016 PAN Hybrid. I am lucky the car is still under warranty. Here what Porsche Fletcher Jones Fremont found and fixed.
1. Purge-Air Line - Porsche (970-110-346-11), take a look at the picture https://www.porscheatlantaperimeterp...oduct=10455150
2. Vent line https://www.porscheatlantaperimeterp...811002010.html, # Part Number: 95811002010
I have 40K miles on car, it seems that the Pan Hybrid is not so much reliable with the Hybrid system. The car has been at porsche shop many times due to engine light. The problem with engine light On is I will have no AC.
apparently, I see a customer today with his 2018 Pan 4E, he told me his hybrid has a few bugs as well.
For now, my pan hybrid is OK now and parks in the drive way due to Stay-at-Home in Ca.

Thanks Doug for posting, i saved this one in case i have the same issue in the future. my '16 is at ~ 13k miles and so far, fingers crossed, i haven't experienced any issues that required attention from the dealership...beyond the various standard recalls.

my 2016 Pan hybrid, engine light just lid on today. Oh man ... use my durametric to see what's going on with Hybrid - High Voltage, the is FAULT ... there is nothing Durametric can give me more info. I have to bring my car back to Porsche dealer. except my car is no longer under warranty and it is 41K miles. The last time i had this issue was Dec/2020. Hopefully, Porsche america will cover this issue.

Will update what they find. I am thinking to trade or sell this Hybrid. I have 2 other Porsche ICE gas, I have no issues ...

that's understatement for Porsche. The previous issues I had in dec/2020 was $1000, ouch ... if my car was not under warranty.

Fletcher Jones Porsche dealer found the issue with hybrid diagnostic module, they order part and replace it, sound expensive. The car is still @ the shop over 1 wk now. They ask Porsche to cover it. I will update you all when I get the final invoice. Porsche Hybrid is not very reliable on the Hybrid electronic section. I am not so sure I will keep this car, 6 times with Hybrid engine light over the years. my other 3 Porsche ICE does not have many issues.

Vapor Canister Filter - Porsche (970-201-276-01) . It is a big procedure for this work. they diagnose with smog test from the engine - front to the rear. Rear bumper has to be removed. I am glad Porsche covered the expense. I am so happy. I will be cried if Porsche did not cover it. I definitely will not buy Porsche Hybrid. This is a typical problem for most porsche hybrid according fremont porsche. They have already replaced the beginning of the line to the module since last year. I hope I will have no more issues with Hybrid session. Good luck with your Hybrid.

Thank you for sharing this info Doug. Did Fremont Porsche say what causes this issue and if related to miles driven? I haven't had the issues so far that you have had, but i only still have ~13k miles on the car.
it is noteworthy too though, that when you click the link that you shared (thanks again!) the vapor canister/filter appears to be shared among most 970 panamera versions 2012-2016, not just hybrid. so it may not necessarily be a hybrid problem, unless there is something about the hybrid system, specifically, that is causing this stuff to malfunction...

None ... if you have engine light you need to bring it to dealer ... it is difficult to know what wrong with the hybrid session. You should DRIVE, buddy. Don't park your car. m No value to park the car. It is not a STOCK you can park in the bank for long time to grow. LOL ... BTW, drove it to LA this weekend. Charging 14 miles, 82MPH @ Hybrid for 16 miles, impressive ... I noticed that the Hybrid S did not have a good handling as my 4 on the winding road.

I wonder if it's problematic w/ all Hybrids, or if you got a lemon? It seems like you've had a lot of problems recently that others aren't posting about. Sorry to hear this car isn't as reliable as your previous, you're like an ambassador for Porsche w/ all the cars you've bought so they should take good care of you. Best of luck!
