I am delighted to hear about the North Carolina guys!!

Hey FLorida.....take a lesson!!!

Evan, we obviously don't do this often. Do whatever you need to do. If worse comes to worse, do the drive in two days. What could gas and a motel room possibly cost?? Come on.....pull it together man!!!!

No more excuses!!!

There are at least 6 die hard PCA Carolina's region that would love to join in the fun. I will spread the word at a pig roast party this weekend at Bob Saville's house in Charlotte. He is a dealer/racer of P cars and a super nice guy. I'll post back and if I am not on call I will difinitely attend with at least one other car.

That sounds awesome, is the GT-2 yellow by any chance and belong to a really nice vet that chews cigars? Do any of you guys know Rock Webb and are you part of Sun Fun or triangle? We don't really have mods over by Charlotte but there are some good drivers and they are all P cars. I will spread the word this weekend to our group in the Carolina's metro and mountain region.

Charlotte-Hickory NC is coming too. 993 and 02 X-50, both track cars. I have booked a room for July 8th. Please add me to the list.

Now, I have to laugh at the whole "my backyard" thing because this IS my backyard and it IS fun. I don't know if I'd refer to it as an East Coast road. But anyway, looking forward to meeting all.

Now for some good news. Parking is oversold between the owner/operator renters and the hotel guests. I took the liberty of speaking to the GM of the hotel (mike butler) and the operator of the garage (jeff). We worked out an arrangement to reserve 15 spots in a row on the third floor out of the hotel allocation. The code will be "Tail of the Dragon" or use my last name: Stanislaw. Now, I don't know how many people/cars we have going, but at least this can be a seed and we can minimize door dings this way (except for the guy who trades paint--he parks across the street). I hope I didn't step on any toes, but the "oversold" parking thing was a bit of a PIA at Rennsport II this year. Just thought I would try to take away some stress and help out as a new member. Also, I will not be staying the night on Friday, so we may want to extend this idea once we get there.

James,
I want to express my gratitude with regard to you taking the bull by the horns and making these parking arrangements. I just made the assumption it would not be an issue. It was a big help and insightful. Thanks! Oh, and no crushed toes!
