Tail of the Dragon Redux July 9-11
I would say make a big splash and unload right in front of the hotel just before dinner so we can all watch and cheer. Then find out where the trucker rig parking is located. There must be something nearby. You might call the parking lot manager and ask him if he knows of any rig parking in the city that is close. His name is Jeff of Central Parking and the number is (865) 525-8438.

This stretch of highway is world famous.
I've driven it several times.
The law enforcement is out all the time and in fixed and non fixed wing aircraft.
Just my take...
Unfortunately you cannot always get everyone in a group to take the low profile approach ... which I agree is preferable ... and that goes for any event ... not just this one.
We'll have to put our faith in Valentine One, Motorola, eyeballs and Lady Luck.

No.
I am aware of that.

It's not just the TOD that I'm talking about. Plus the banner poses a possible "in your face" read by Law enforcement. It never hurts to be laid back in one's approach, even if you plan on letting it loose at sometime, at the right place. It's high enough threat up there without announcing it.
