Has anyone tried these new black markers?
This is the first one I've ever seen that I like.
Does everyone have a Harbor Freight floor jack? How many of those things did they sell? LOL

BMW-North, I really like the look of what you did here... I would go with the black surround vs chrome in my case as my car is dark grey but wow nice... would it be possible to get the link of where you got all the hardware, thanks
I spent roughly about $125 on all the various components to find out which ones I needed. If I were to order only the parts I finally used it would be $14 for the DRL housings and $3 for the COB strips add a buck for the wedge connector, solder and shrink tube and all in they ended up costing less than $20 a set.
I will not be making them and selling them. I do this for my own pleasure. I think what Oracle did to the ones Pikajew bought on eBay is use COB like this in lieu of the LED nodes.
I didn't think to block the old screw holes and will do that on the next set so the holes look chrome and blend in.
I cant touch mine till a year from now, but...... would you mind listing the part numbers and product descriptions. Very thorough write up, but if you don't plan to replicate the process it would be great if you would share. If you don't prefer too I understand, a lot of experience and know how went into your final product. IT would be great to pull this thread up next year and get all I need to make my pair.
Thanks, Sheriff
I don't think I ever posted the results in this thread. Here's what the black/LED ones looks like with tinted lenses:

I didn't finish them, so they have a dull hue. They'd look much better polished. But even as-is, you can't see the individual LEDs inside (which was a big turnoff for me), and the lights where still nice and bright when lit - a great match for the ones in the headlights.
