Irvine information

I just received a very good job offer in Irvine, I am now looking at the pros and cons to taking it and moving from Seattle.

Best area to live ? Any advice about area or any other helpful information would be nice.

Pros are weather and I understand cost of living is higher down there.

Thanks for any information.

You've got a PM

I take that back... I don't have permission to send PMs yet. Maybe you can send me a PM with more specific personal questions (do you have a family? schools important? bachelor? want to live near activities, etc) and I can respond to that.

Best area to live depends on what you want from the area and how much you want to spend.

Pm ?

I checked my PM box and nothing is there, It might be because of the amount of post you have. I dealt with the same situation when I had a limited number of post.

Thanks for trying and let me know if you have any valuable information. Thanks..

Irvine is a nice suburb to live. clean, safe, weather is almost always great and close to the beach. i live near irvine. best place i lived so far since i moved from NY/NJ and FL. you are halfway between LA and SD also. so not too far or too close to the city. only issue you might have with irvine is the irvine PD. they can be aholes.

You need to describe your life style, what you're looking for, kids, family, etc. My opinion: Irvine is one of the most boring places on the face of the earth, but its clean, safe, good schools.

That said, working in Irvine, you have lots of options, but it depends on what you are looking for.

You live in the seattle area now? What city / area are you in now? Maybe I can give a parallel.

I live on the eastside in Kirkland now, Nice area near the water. I am single male in my 30,s.

Will be moving there alone, Boring does not sound good. LOL

I am very active, gym, nice restaurants , car activities, hanging out with friends and hopefully meeting some new ones. Road trips, live music, Night life but not into bar scene to much.

I'd say San Juan Capistrano but all depends on the budget since you're single. LOL

I'd go to Newport Beach and do all the fun stuff. Plenty to do and Balboa Island isn't that far from Irvine as well.

as far as P.D. they're not that bad and a member here informed me they don't bother him w/ his modified E92 so I'd say you're save seeing your mod's on your sig.

LA Fitness and 24 Hr Fitness near by. as far as car activities, they have cars n coffee in irvine and a donut car meet in huntington beach every saturday morning. good amount of track events and car cruises all over socal as well( Willow,Tour D' Orange)

Irvine IS boring but its safe and organized.

You can always do whatever in other parts of town and come home to some peace and quiet.

These companies spend thousand of dollars on these web sites....I would think they may be able to sell you on the area more than anyone!

I know nothing about the city other than the cool place around it!

Good luck....

Irvine is a great place to live. I lived there for the first 20 years of my life. I'm not far away in Rancho Santa Margarita.

The Village Apartments across from the Irvine Spectrum Center might be a good place to check out. The amenities are great, but the price is up there. Also, the Irvine Spectrum Center is across the street with some good restaurants, a movie theater, shops, and a 24 Hour Fitness.

Some other nice areas in Irvine are Quail Hill and Woodbury.

I can also point you in the right direction for live music and car events.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

I live on the border of Newport and Irvine and it's great. Plenty to do here in Orange County.

Driving Live Oak is always fun and I do enjoy Carmelitas. It's nice living by both.

I haven't been to The Blind Pig yet. Good stuff?
