how to clean exhaust "dust" off 997s tips...

I don't know if anyone has tried this, but I have found that cleaning the "dust" off the quad exhaust tips on my 997s is a pain.
I recently started using a very fine grit sand paper- and it works great! my tips are brushed aluminum, so using the sandpaper does not damage them....they look brand new afterwards.

Always have this issue. I usually use a pressure washer and hit the tips to loosen stuff up and get some of it off then scrub a bit with a rag

Try using Blue Magic Metal Polish Cream. It is available at Auto Zone. This stuff is the best and easiest to use of anything out there. I have tried them all and this cleaned stuff off of my quad tips nothing else would even budge.

Use zymol Metall. It's an all-natural and safe polish that comes in a towelette form. I use it on all my high-end details. It's great on any bare metal like aluminium, copper, stainless steel, etc.

Wax should not be used on any metal...it seals the pores. If air can't get into the pores of the metal for it to breathe, it begins to tarnish. Polishing is all you need to do to clean and protect.
