Why Is This Section So Weak Here?
I know it's weak on a lots of other boards too, but with soo many people that track their cars, I would expect to see more than 5 topics before ending up back in March for last post date.
I am assuming because so many people spend time talking about their track adventures in their prospective sections? Which makes some sense, but I would still think this section would get more attention here than it does. There's more action on mustang sites.

I wonder the same thing - it takes a certain commitment from a number of people to get it going, and I bet less than 20 6speeders are avid track enthusiasts, so this forum doesn't get constant attention. I go to other forums for my track talk, unfortunately...

I know the alternative is Rennlist but some of them are too uptight for me and expect everyone to think like a 20 year veteran of racing.
We have been discussing having a Turbo track day in our section, but I dont think there would end up being enough for a full rental so I think with some help we can start a 6speed track day for the east coast, but I need someone to facilitate some of the other sections to gather interest. I can almost garauntee 12-15 people from atlanta alone. and if we have it here at road atlanta there will be more. so all that's needed is to find a suitable track and date and get to planning, who's down to help?
i'm a nubie on this forum, but i regularly track my MINI MCS. i was supposed to be on my way to atlanta now for a BMWCCA DE at Road Atlanta. however, work got in the way and i was forced into be a late cancellation. i live in so. fla. and run w/ PBOC and PCA. i have friends who run w/ Chin, NASA and SAFE. if you set something up at RA, i'll get some florida interest.
in florida my track site of choice is: http://www.hookedontrack.com/index.php
it's still a growing site, but has great potential.

How about a West Coast Northern California track day I know there are plenty of people that track here.
Hey Sharkster you talked about getting something going, how about getting that White Shark out on the track? With the sound limits at Laguna Seca that is probably out what about Buttonwillow?(http://www.buttonwillowraceway.com/)

We have 7 people commited to east coast and it hasnt been a few hours yet, I bet we can have 40 people by the end of the month.
Go ahead and start a west coast track day and hold a vote like we are so we can keep the momentum going. Is say for a private rental we need at least 50 people depending on the venue to have room for dropouts etc. and make it very cost efficient from an entry standpoint.

Heavy,
Make sure you check out the 08 6speed meet in TX thread, there will be some car events and it will be a central location for all of the East and West coast guys to meet up.
